Apple accessories are a big business, so big in fact that not even a company like Sennheiser can ignore it, the company just releasing an new line of headsets that feature in-line microphones and control blocks to target iPhone/iPod users.

Comprised of the Sennheiser MM 70i, IE 8i, PX 100-IIi, PX 200-IIi, HD 218i and HD 238i, this new range of headphones touts an impressive compatibility list when it comes down to Apple products, working with almost everything the Cupertino based company can throw at it, including the latest iPod Touch and iPhone 4 as well as some Macbook models.

As is usually the case with Sennheiser all of these headsets come with an impressive sound quality, from the top of the line in-ear IE 8i designed to deliver the ultimate precision to professionals to the on-the-ear, entry level, HD 218i and HD 238i offerings.

“The new headsets complement the design and user-friendliness of the iPhone — including the new iPhone 4 — and other supported Apple products with top-quality Sennheiser sound and intuitive control functions,” explained Eric Palonen, senior product specialist for consumer electronics at Sennheiser US.

“The headsets automatically pause the music when a phone call is taken, allowing the iPhone user to switch easily and quickly between music and calls without the risk of missing any incoming calls or favorite tracks.”

Pricing wise, these aren't the most affordable headsets available on the market right now, but then again nobody expects Sennheiser products to be cheap, prices ranging from $79.95 for the HD 218i closed, mini headphones with in-line microphone, to a whopping $449.95 for the IE 8i high-end ear-canal earphones.
