Great product for Mac., August 1, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Internet Security Barrier X6 for Mac [Download] (Software Download) I have been using PC for past 13 years. Recently I bought MacBook Pro from BestBuy. They gave another antivirus free. It was working fine till I upgrade the OS to Lion. In Lion the other antivirus was not working smoothly. It was crashing very often. So I bought this and installed in my Mac. The result is amazing. Now my Mac is much faster. This works perfectly smooth. I havne't used Mac without any antivirus, so I cannot say this product pulls down the speed. But obviously this is better that other antivirus softwares I used.
Con:
I think we need only the Antivirus package for $49 or less. Additional items we get in thisnk package are useless (in my case)

As you may have heard, Macs don't typically have viruses and their security vulnerabilities are quickly fixed in updates shortly after they are publicly announced. Yet they can pass on viruses to Windows users so having a security barrier to protect your email is a good idea. And for those who are interested, this also includes a parental barrier for those parents who want to block access of certain sites by their children. This also includes an anti-spam filter for Mail, a file guard that acts as a data protection program and a personal backup system (although I would recommend the use of Time Machine as a better alternative) as well as the a Virus barrier that protects against viruses, phishing, spyware, etc.
The one complaint that I find typical of Mac security is that it slows down the computer overall when it is running in the... Read more
