Awful, January 30, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: CA Internet Security Suite Plus 2010 3-User (DVD-ROM) Serious issues with this product if you don't want their firewall. In previous years (I liked the prior product) you could choose not to install the firewall but get the rest on the protection. Not so this year, if you don't want the firewall you loose anti-spam and anti-fishing as well. Do not install the firewall if you have Peachtree Accounting, Peachtree will not work even with the firewall turned off. I emailed CA about this issue and they haven't even bothered to email me back, so don't expect any support from them unless your willing to pay $$. Btw it's always out of date even though automatic updates is turned on. When it's time to update again I am definitely switching to a different product. Did I mention they have complete ignored my support request.

I had CA Anti-Virus software installed on our main computer at my office since 2005. It seemed to work fine. I decided to upgrade to Internet Security Suite 2010. We immediately began to have a problem with the primary software program that we use to operate my business. We contacted our tech support company who tried to provide remote assistance. The comment that the technician made was that he had never seen a security software program offer less options for making necessary adjustments. He advised us to directly contact technical support for the CA product. Our Office Manager spent more than an hour on the phone with a CA technical support representative who could barely speak English. This rep, through remote assistance, made adjustments to our computer that wound up causing damange to the operating system. It was fine until the renewal date - here is a warning to all prospective buyers out there. When the time came to renew, I was offered renewal at $70, the same price as if I was a brand new customer going to pay full retail for the version in a box. No discount or other accommodation as a loyal, "returning" customer. And I wouldn't get the product in a box, it was strictly a download version. That's OK, I don't really need the box, etc, but I'm certainly not going to pay full retail for a download. When I contacted CA by email, they replied by saying that yep, it's $70. No mention of discount, loyalty, accommodation. I emailed them back, explaining that I would not pay full retail. They ignored that email. I'm afraid this is the arrogance of the modern-day software company. I will NEVER buy another CA product. Notice that if you are so inclined, you can buy the CA product at Amazon at a substantial discount. Caveat Emptor, I will buy a different... Read more
